Overview
The new Meadowbank Education and Employment Precinct will have education at its heart while also connecting students to training and employment opportunities with local industry and the surrounding community. It will be an open, safe place where locals can access shared facilities and new community spaces. The project involves the relocation of Meadowbank Public School and Marsden High School to the Meadowbank Education and Employment Precinct. The Meadowbank Education and Employment Precinct will cater for 1,000 primary school students, 1,500 secondary school students and a further 120 Intensive English Centre students.
Scope
Ekeohm are engaged to construct the communications network for the new schools, consisting of over 3,500 horizontal infrastructure cables, with over 400 cores of fibre optic backbone cabling across 40 different campus, building and floor distributor cabinet locations. The Integrated Communications Network being constructed and deployed by Ekeohm will utilise advanced technology to interface with wireless access, security, audio visual, photovoltaic, energy monitoring and building management systems as part of this scope.
